FEC invited H.E. Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, Ambassador of India to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel Okura Tokyo on October 30. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current situation of India and Japan- India relations”. After the general election in May, Prime Minister Modi’s new administration has started in India. The relationship between Japan and India is expected to develop further as Prime Minister Modi selected Japan as the first country to visit among major countries. Mr. Kenichi Watanabe, Chairman of FEC Japan-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Senior Advisor to the Board, Nomura Holdings, INC)made a welcome remark, “We look forward to hearing from Ambassador about new developments of India under the new administration after May. FEC plan to send the FEC delegation to india in December with the support from Ambassador. We will appreciate your any advice for the delegation.”Ambassador Wadhwa talked with detailed explanation and frank impressions about the current situation of India and Japan- India relations. After the speech, there were active Q&As in a cozy environment such as Indian states, introduction of Japan’s medical technology and legal reforms, etc.
