FEC President Ken Matsuzawa met H. E. Mr. Vu Duc Dam, Deputy Prime Minister of Viet Nam at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on May 22, who was on a visit to Japan to attend the international conference, “The Future of Asia”. Other 3 Viet Nam party attended the meeting including Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung. From FEC, Senior Managing Director Hiroyuki Yushita, Mr. Kenichi Matsumoto, CEO of Sakura Global Group, Sakura Global Holding Co., Ltd. and Mr. Hideyo Uchiyama, CEO, KPMG Japan attended. At the beginning of the meeting, FEC President Matsuzawa said,” I appreciate that you gave us an opportunity of the meeting despite of your tight schedule, I am happy to meet you again today. We met at the FEC welcome breakfast meeting for Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung three years ago. As Ambassador HUNG knows well, FEC and Vietnam embassy regularly co-host the Japan-Vietnam economic dialogue. We also dispatch the FEC delegation to Vietnam every year, having meetings for exchange of views with many high rank government officials including President Truong Tan Sang. The delegation to be sent this year is looking forward to meeting with Deputy Prime Minister in Hanoi.”

 Deputy Prime Minister Dam made a remark,”I am very happy to meet FEC executives today. Japan-Vietnam relations have been enhanced day by day and I would like to ask for your continuous cooperation.” He also mentioned about the South China Sea dispute and the anti-China protest in Vietnam, asking for Japanese companies to work succeedingly. Japanese attendants explained their business plans and projects in Vietnam, active exchange of opinions was made and the scheduled time was exceeded.After the meeting, FEC President Matsuzawa handed Deputy Prime Minister Dam a souvenir, followed by commemorative photograph taking by all the attendants.
