Mongolia has a history of democracy more than 20 years since the start of democratization. Ties with Japan have got stronger every year. Mongolia, located between Russia and China, has attracted attention for its geopolitically important position.

Mr. Hiromichi Fujita, Chairman of FEC Japan-Europe Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Executive Advisor and Former Chairman of Toppan Printing Co., Ltd said in his greeting remark that “When I heard that Ambassador was appointed for the second time to Japan, the appointment seemed to reflect the strong will of the Mongolian government to strengthen the relations with Japan. Japan does not have natural resources and Mongolia has rich resources. So we can cooperate in various economic projects.”

H. E. Mr. Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar, Ambassador of Mongolia talked about the Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), the challenge and future of Mongolia and so on. After the lecture, we enjoyed an exchange of ideas and questions on topics including the security, development of the mineral resources and the youth exchange program.
