FEC

FEC sent the 18th FEC Delegation to ASEAN visiting Cambodia and Thailand from 28th February to 5th March. The delegation, headed by Mr. Norio Yamaguchi, Chairman of FEC Japan-ASEAN Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Senior Corporate Advisor of AJINOMOTO Co., Inc.) consisted of 14 FEC members. The delegation visited Phnom Penh and Bangkok.

In Cambodia, the Delegation met high-ranking government officials including H. E. Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and H. E. Mr. Samdech Say Chhum, President of the Senate of Cambodia, and had various fruitful exchanges of views with them. They also visited the Japan-funded Neak Loeung Bridge – also known as Tsubasa-bridge. It was a meaningful opportunity for the members to understand the current status of investment environment.

They moved to Bangkok and paid a courtesy call on H. E. Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, and had meetings with other high-ranking government officials including H. E. Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Ministry of Transport. It was also a meaningful opportunity for the members to exchange views frankly on how to expand our bilateral relationship in a wide range of areas.
