FEC invited Mr. Sujan Romeshchandra Chinoy, Ambassador of India, to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel Okura Tokyo on October 6. The meeting was held on the theme of “India-Japan relations and the recent visit of Prime Minister Abe to India”. Mr. Kenichi Watanabe, Chairman of FEC Japan-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Senior Advisor to the Board, Nomura Holdings, Inc.), made a welcome remark and said, “Many FEC members are participating today from the companies which have been already operating in India or planning to invest in India, therefore I expect lively speech and questions and answers. Japan and India are also the only countries of which the leaders visit each other every year, and we look forward to hearing from Ambassador Chinoy.” Ambassador Chinoy made a speech on the current situation of Japan-India relations, Prime Minister Abe’s visit to India, and situation in security and economic fields.
