FEC

FEC sent the 11th FEC Delegation to Viet Nam from October 9 for 8 days. The delegation, headed by Mr. Yoshihiko Nakagaki, Chairman of FEC Japan – Viet Nam Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Honorary Counselor of Electric Power Development Co., Ltd.), consisted of 13 FEC members. The Delegation visited Hanoi, Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh.

In Viet Nam this year, the new administration started. During the stay in Hanoi, FEC Delegation made a courtesy call on President Tran Dai Quang, and exchanged views with the senior officers of Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and other executives of the new administration. In Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh, they had meetings with high officials of the People’s Committee. They also visited a local corporation and JICA HCMC Metro Line 1 Project site sponsored by Japanese ODA. It was a meaningful opportunity for the members to deepen the overall understanding of Vietnam’s current situation, requests for Japanese companies, etc.

〈14th Oct.〉　Depart from Da Lat for Ho Chi Minh / Arrive at Ho Chi Minh.  Meeting with Mr. Hideyuki Yamamoto, General Director, Ho Chi Minh Takashimaya. Visit JICA HCMC Metro Line 1 Project site. Meeting with Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.Dinner hosted by Mr. Satoshi Nakajima, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh.
