On July 23, The International Friendship and Economic Exchange Council (FEC) hosted the FEC Tokyo International Forum, welcoming Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Director for Promoting Women's Empowerment, Akiko Matsumoto. The forum focused on the themes of "The 2050 Tokyo Strategy and Tokyo's International Competitiveness" and "Expanding the Circle of Women's Empowerment Nationwide - Women in Action." At the outset, FEC Chairman Ken Matsuzawa mentioned that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is actively implementing various measures under the "2050 Tokyo Strategy," including strengthening international competitiveness, creating a sustainable city, and promoting women's empowerment. He then expressed his hope that the lectures by Governor Koike and Director Matsumoto would provide an opportunity to deepen understanding of Tokyo's future and sustainable growth.
