On June 3rd, FEC, with the kind permission of Ambassador Mukhsinkja Abdulrahmonov of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, hosted the 16th Central Asia and Caucasus Study Group's Uzbekistan Business Forum at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan. Following welcoming remarks by Ambassador Abdulrahmonov and greetings from FEC Chairman Ken Matsuzawa, the Embassy presented presentations on Uzbekistan's investment environment and economic development, as well as a presentation on the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company (AUIC). Subsequently, participants introduced themselves and exchanged opinions, engaging in lively discussions across a wide range of fields including education, healthcare, IT, and human resource development. The Uzbek side expressed strong expectations for further cooperation with Japanese companies and educational institutions, making it a meaningful forum for the development of relations between Japan and Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, Ambassador Abdulrahmonov and the other two are all fluent in Japanese, and the entire forum, from the presentations to the Q&A session, was conducted entirely in Japanese.
