Following the extraordinary general meeting and board meeting, which approved the incorporation of the FEC, a members' reception was held with approximately 250 attendees, including about 150 FEC members, 60 ambassadors and diplomatic corps representatives from various countries stationed in Japan, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was a great success. FEC Chairman Ken Matsuzawa gave an opening address. Subsequently, guests of honor, Professor Satoshi Omura, Distinguished Honorary Professor at Kitasato University and recipient of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Takehiro Funakoshi, delivered congratulatory speeches, and a video message from Jean-Eric Paquet, Ambassador of the European Union to Japan, was shown.
