Message

On November 12, Ken Matsuzawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Economic Council (FEC), and others visited the Ukrainian Embassy at the invitation of Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan, Yuri Lutvinov. Chairman Matsuzawa and Ambassador Lutvinov have been close friends for over 10 years, and during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, they worked together with Mr. Lutvinov, who was then an embassy staff member, to transport more than 2000 relief blankets from Ukraine amidst the chaos.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Matsuzawa congratulated Ambassador Ludvinov on his appointment and proposed holding a business forum at the embassy, as well as further promoting exchanges with FEC. In response, the Ambassador agreed to hold the forum and indicated his intention to continue cooperating with FEC in the future.
