Message

Toshiya Ogata, Executive Director of the Federal Economic Council (FEC), visited HE Mr. Louis Harold Joseph, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Haiti. The Ambassador holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Faculty of Law and Economics at the National University of Haiti (Porte-to-Prince) and a Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He began his career as an economist at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and worked at the Japanese Embassy in the United States from 1982, starting as Second Secretary for Commercial Affairs and serving as Ambassador to the United States for a total of 22 years. He has also served as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to the Bahamas and Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Japan, and assumed his current position in April 2025.
