Sponsored by the Ishikawa Foreign Student Foundation and AIS) An Economic Mission is sent to Singapore. (Economic seminars, exchange receptions,industry observations were held.) |

The 5th ASEAN Friendship Meeting is held in Nagoya inviting ASEAN Ambassador to Japan and directors of ASEAN foreign ministries.(An economic forum,a ladies meeting, an exhibition on ASEAN industry, culture and tourism, a welcoming dinner hosted by Aichi Prefecture, FEC and other related organizations and a friendship golf competition are held. Total 5,800 people participated.) |

The International Congress of Asian Agricultural Universities is held in Nagoya. FEC supports the Congress following last year. (Directors of the department of agriculture of 41 universities from 16 Asian and Oceanian countries and four related intenation organizations participated in the meeting.) |
