FEC plays a supplementary role in Japan's diplomacy by attempting to arouse the public opinion that the diplomacy should be suppported by the whole nation. It holds various sorts of seminars in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and other major cities of Japan inviting high-level officials of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Japanese ambassadors as lecturers. These seminars offer a good opportunity to deepen the Japanese understanding of the nation's foreign policy as well as to reflect the public opinion.
